Lake Fayetteville Trail

The main biking trail is a 4.3-mile hard-surface loop around Lake Fayetteville, which is ideal for novice riders, offering beautiful views of the lake and surrounding nature. There is also a 5.5-mile nature trail that is relatively flat but also features some challenging hills and off-road sections. The trail passes through several scenic areas including several parks including North Shore and Veterans Park, both featuring picnic areas, bathrooms, and play areas. There is also a boat dock and marina, and areas that highlight specific activities such as the disc golf course, horseshoe pit, and softball complex. One of the most popular areas is the beautiful Botanical Gardens.

Razorback Regional Greenway

The Greenway is a 40-mile trail connecting seven communities in Northwest Arkansas, Fayetteville, Johnson, Springdale, Lowell, Rogers, Bentonville, and Bella Vista. The Razorback Greenway allows access to the best of Northwest Arkansas featuring entertainment, shopping, arts, culture, historic areas, and of course, lakes, and recreation. The trail is open to not just cyclists but also walkers, runners, families, skaters and wheelchair users. Some areas do include challenging hills and off-road sections. The trail connects three major hospitals, and 23 area schools including the University of Arkansas. Razorback Greenway is also home to the Spring and Fall Square 2 Square Bike Rides in May and October 2023.

Kessler Mountain Trails

Kessler Mountain Park covers 620 acres, featuring a 400-acre nature preserve, six lighted soccer fields, eight lighted baseball fields and two concession/restroom buildings. Kessler Mountain natural surface trails are comprised of 13 miles and range from Easy to Very Difficult.  The park and surrounding land are a popular playground for nature enthusiasts. While it is known for the expert-level trails created many years ago, newer trails have been developed that provide beginner and intermediate-level loops for less experienced mountain bike riders such as the Mount Kessler and Crazy Mary Loop which is a little over 4 miles. The park also offers Cato Springs Trail, which is a 12-foot-wide concrete connector to the Razorback Greenway.

Centennial Park Trails

Hidden atop Millsap Mountain is preserved greenspace that houses state-of-the-art cyclo-cross facilities. The park is a premier cycling destination and continues to be one of twelve qualifying sites for the UCI Cyclo-Cross World Championships. The 12-mile network of trails houses trails like Learner’s Permit for the inexperienced to Junk Drawer for the intermediate level to Basket Case and Fayetteville Traverse and Flight Training Loop for more experienced riders. Once complete, the Fayetteville Traverse will connect to other trail systems and eventually link to Kessler Mountain and other parks through a continuous natural surface route.
